MOVIE REVIEW

Speed 2: Cruise Control has just as much action as the first one but it lacks the originality, plot, and acting that gave Speed such a boost. Speed 2 had potential but overall, it just wasn't as well done and having a different cop just threw the movie out of whack. There was also too much comedy. As for special effects, Speed 2 excels, and the crash scene is spectacular! But, the worst part of the entire movie was this: The hero from Speed, Annie, spent the entire time screaming, waiting for her boyfriend to show up and save her. That pissed me off big time. Speed 2 has the same formula as the first one, only in a different setting, but lacks any originality or scripting. Full movie review »
