Dante's Peak explodes onto the screen with state-of-the-art special effects, lots of destruction scenes, and constant suspense! Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton do a stellar job! There were only a few upsets, though: First, the boy (12 years old) could not have driven up the mountain during an ash storm by himself. Second, the dog could not have survived.
