Saint Frances Movie Review
Capsule Review: An endearing little dramedy worthy of your time, Saint Frances hooks you with its leading lady, her charming young side tick, and a deft screenplay that casually maneuvers the highs, lows, and humor of real life. Kelly O’Sullivan gives a terrific performance, balancing comedy and emotional drama with ease. Young Ramona Edith Williams is a burst of joy and energy in every scene.
But what really makes Saint Frances special is the way director Alex Thompson and O’Sullivan, who also wrote the film, tap into a universally relatable sense of reality, even if the specific circumstances facing the title character may be foreign to you.
