Serenity Movie Review
Capsule Review: A must-see movie for all the wrong reasons, Serenity (no, not the awesome “Firefly” movie) is one of the weirdest, dumbest, and accidentally ambitious productions you’ll see all year. If you’re willing to subject yourself to two hours of inane dialogue and loopy storytelling, that is.
Stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway were apparently upset that the movie did not receive the wide release promised—but they should be happy as few people saw this stinker as possible. McConaughey, not exactly an actor to shy away from strange and often terrible movies, is nonetheless fun to watch, and Hathaway seems to at least be vaguely aware of how campy the film is but delivering an absolutely campy performance, but neither can save themselves or the audience from this baffling, unintentionally hilarious experience.
