The Master of Disguise Movie Review

Most people could predict it from the previews, but I had to see it just to make sure. I shouldn't have bothered. "The Master of Disguise" is a dreadfully boring and stupid comedy from Dana Carvey, a man that was funny once but has done little to show that he has what it takes to carry a film nowadays.

Carvey stars as Pistachio, a young idiot who is forced to learn the ways of his family's ancestry after his parents are kidnapped. He trains to become a master of disguise, a "wizard" that can change his appearance into just about anyone.

Carvey, like the movie, is not funny at all. There are a few one-liners here and there that made me grunt a laugh, but other than that, this film just sucks. It is probably aimed more at kids than adults, but aside from the PG-rating, it is hard to tell. I would hate to think of the few parents that were dragged along with their children to see this movie; or the children that were dragged along by their parents.

Carvey is obviously a talented guy, but he needs to realize that you can't just make a bunch of funny faces and voices and except an audience to sit there for even half an hour.

"The Master of Disguise" is one of the worst movies of the year.
