Capsule Review: Robert Redford’s final movie—maybe—is a nostalgic delight, a casually enjoyable crime drama about a charming, elusive and elderly bank robber and the efforts to bring him to justice. The Old Man & the Gun, which is set in the early 1980s, also stars Sissy Spacek and Casey Affleck. Spacek makes the most of her limited screen time thanks to amazing chemistry with her co-star, but this is Redford’s show through and through. He’s as charismatic as ever and carries the movie, practically asking you to hand over your hard-earned cash for this otherwise inconsequential little piece of amusement.
