The A-Team - Movie Synopsis & Plot

The new incarnation revolves around a group of Iraq vets wanted by the U.S. military for a crime they didn't commit. Their adventures combine helping the innocent while running from the law. Story has been given a modern twist by involving oil tycoons and laser technology.

The original series, which ran from 1983-87 and starred George Peppard, Mr. T, Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz, followed an unofficial team of Vietnam vets who will stop at nothing to get the bad guys. Sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit, these four commandos escaped from a maximum-security stockade and now survive in the Los Angeles underground as soldiers of fortune.

Stephen J. Cannell, who created the show, will produce the movie with Spike Seldin. Mark Silvestri will executive produce.

MOVIE REVIEW

The 1980's continue to attempt to make a comeback with an adaptation of the cult classic television series "The A-Team," a show that seemed destined to be resurrected at some point. This new version looks to amp up the action and humor with a talented cast and respected director Joe Carnahan (Narc and Smokin' Aces). Having only seen a few episodes of "The A-Team" as a child and little memory of it beyond the presence of Mr. T, I have nothing to compare it to, but for the most part, The A-Team movie succeeds where it needs to, by providing a non-stop onslaught of entertainment.
