What is Touching the Void about?
Two friends, Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, ascend the dangerous west face of Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes, only to have their descent almost kill them. After Simpson's left leg is shattered, Yates attempts to lower him 300-feet at a time, but unknowingly drops him over the edge of a vertical cliff.
