In the midst of the Civil War, a group of Confederates out in the Midwest, far from the center of the war, engage in several bloody confrontations with the Union. But a few men become caught in the middle and question the motives of the war.

MOVIE REVIEW

Tobey Maguire has showed how powerful he can be in such films as October Sky, The Cider House Rules, and Pleasantville, but his characters in all three of those movies. In Ride with the Devil he is quite the opposite, a fierce soldier who kills at will. He should stick with the weak characters.
